Gallipoli y Waltzing Matilda

Pacientes lectores,

Fui a descansar un rato a un lugar remoto. Escogí Sulva Bay en Turquía, fecha indeterminada, de 1915.

Que sorpresa fue, sin duda, al estar tomando sol en la playa, ver aparecer un barco de guerra, desembarco de tropas, cañoneo impresionante de recepcion. No entendía nada. Averigue un poco y ahora les puedo contar.

Eran los australianos, fuerzas aliadas integrantes del Commonwealth que iban a participar en la guerra. Fue una tragedia de proporciones.

Se compuso una canción de homenaje a estos heroes.
